Scotty began dancing at 15 years old, but after a motorcycle accident at 21, Scotty thought he would never dance again. Around the age of 24, Scotty ventured back into the world of dance learning new styles and by 30 he was learning capoeira. At that point, he realized the time to be a professional dancer was now or never, so he quit his job in restaurant management and started dancing full time. Scotty’s journey through dance, movement and martial arts has led him to many ventures performing, teaching, and leading workshops around the world. In 2015, Scotty competed in a national samba competition, winning title of the first Prince of Samba USA.
Scotty is passionate about bringing arts education to younger generations and brings capoeira and house dance to LA County public schools as a teaching artist through the program UniverSoul Hip-Hop. Very humbled by life experiences, he continues to influence audiences around the world with his effortless, show-stopping moves.
