Julia Ruth

Julia Ruth’s first opportunity in performance came when she joined her university’s gymnastic and acrobatic performance-based student organization. After 4 years of performing a variety of aerial and ground acts, Julia moved to San Diego in order to continue her passion for performance. Julia has had opportunities to perform both locally and nationally through a variety of organizations including Lighthouse Circus Theatre, the Circus Collective of San Diego, Wray & Associates, and the San Diego Circus Center. Julia could not be more thrilled to perform with Dragon Knights after having fallen in love with stilt walking during her very first lesson with Lili Noden.

Along side her work as a performer, Julia has continued to follow her passion in science. Julia interned at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and was an assistant researcher at the NOAA Laboratory for Satellite Altimetry. Julia accepted a National Science Foundation graduate fellowship to study and research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego. Julia has since received her masters degree in geophysics and teaches middle school science at an independent school in San Diego.
